February 2026 Survey
These are the findings of a THINC Foundation survey, conducted by a leading global market research company, with 2,246 parents of children ages 0 to 17 in the U.S. in February 2026.
The purpose of this research is to assess American parents’ views on K-12 education, including perspectives on transparency and classroom politicization, as well as the importance of teaching civics, respect for differing viewpoints, and individual merit.
Civility and Respect
Over 90% of parents think it is important for students to learn about civics and learn about having mutual respect for those with different viewpoints.
